Subject: Geo Correction use
Working on a machine that has approx .09 bow in the gantry,
for a temporary solution, can't this be corrected by using the Geo Correction ?
if we can get it down to say .01 over the  4ft travel that will suffice for now
any tips would be appreciated

thanks
Carl

Hi Carl,

It isn't clear what direction the "bow" is in.  Z?  X?

Yes that is what the Geo Correction is for.

The first step would be to decide what size and spacing of a grid to use.  For example you might choose a 1 foot grid of 5x9 points.

Then create an empty Measurements.txt file in the KMotion\Data directory with:

5,9
12,12
-48,-24

Then move to all the Grid points and push the measure button to create the table.

Or I suppose the table could be created mathematically if you know the shape and amount of the "bow"

Let me know if this makes sense and is something you want to try.

TK
